Every organization needs people who can work with data, who can clean, organize, and visualize the information which matters. This course, an introduction to data science, covers the skills which are most likely to be helpful to you as you look for internships and jobs.
Class will meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the weeks of Jan 6th and 27th, and on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the weeks of Jan 13th and 20th. Class times are 10:00 to 10:50 on MWF and 10:30 to 11:50 on T/Th. Class meets in Chae Auditorium, Heiser Natural Sciences Complex.

There are no prerequisites. The programming language we will be using is R. You must have a computer which can run R, RStudio and Git. We will guide you in the installation of these programs. The course is designed for absolute beginners. Neither programming nor statistics experience is required.
